Vaginal Tightening – Natural Remedy or Surgery
Women who have given birth often complain that their vaginas have become loose, causing a loss of sensation during sexual intercourse. There are natural remedies that can be performed in order to help tighten the vagina. Additionally, there is vagina rejuvenation and vagina surgery that offers a more permanent solution.
Vaginal tightening exercises, or Kegels, can be performed as well as herbal creams and gels that promise to help tighten the muscles of the vaginal wall. When deciding upon the best vaginal tightening methods, it’s important to pay careful consideration to the risks, benefits and advantages of each method.
Vaginal Tightening Gels
Vaginal tightening gel often consists of various herbs and formulas. These can be very effective, however, they last on a temporary basis. The benefits of vaginal tightening gels include that they don’t require surgery, consist of natural treatments and can help enhance your sexual life by providing lubrication as well as adding stimulation to sensitive nerves in the vaginal wall and canal.
As a woman enters menopause or goes through a number of hormonal changes and imbalances, the ph balance of her vagina can change. This can lead to a loss of moisture, decreased sexual pleasure and painful intercourse. Vaginal tightening gels can improve these conditions in a safe and natural manner.
Vaginal Tightening Exercises
In addition to vaginal tightening gels and creams, there are also exercises that may be performed. These will help strengthen the pelvic floor and improve muscle tone in, around and throughout the vagina. Known as “Kegels” sometimes these exercises are referred to as “Sexercises.” Kegels are performed by squeezing the muscles of the vagina.
An effective exercise is to grip your vagina as if you were attempting to stop the flow of urine, then contract tighter and tighter as if you were gripping in stages beginning with your vagina, than inside to your pelvic floor, and continue gripping tighter and tighter until you feel your abdomen pulling in towards your backbone. Think of this exercise as an elevator with floors and tighten your way up from the vagina to your abdomen, then back down.
Kegel Exercises with Vaginal Weights
Another exercise used to help strengthen that vaginal walls is to use weights. Essentially, the cones or weights are inserted inside the vagina while the woman performs Kegel exercises. In addition to vaginal tightening and rejuvenation, these exercises and herbal treatments such as vaginal tightening creams and gels, not only help strengthen, tone and rejuvenate the vagina but can help prevent and improve incontinence.
It is recommended to perform Kegels and weighted Kegels for at least three months before determining the full effects of the exercises.
Both exercise and herbal preparations are natural remedies that effectively treat vaginal looseness and can help strengthen and firm the vagina. These should be tried before turning to surgical options and procedures such as vaginoplasty.

As vaginoplasty has risks and side effects it is important to determine all of your options and carefully research vaginal surgery before choosing this as your option. Unfortunately, the procedure can cause nerve damage, that even though you may have a tighter vagina, is devoid of sensation and sexual pleasure is further decreased (for the woman, at least).
By taking the time to research all of your options you can rest assured that you’ll find an effective method to increase vaginal tightness and increase your sexual pleasure.
There are alternatives to having a vaginoplasty; however, they do depend on your application, and sometimes even a lot of repetition of pelvic floor exercises will still not tighten the vagina sufficiently. Using Kegel exercises combined with tightening creams are a much better solution to improve the vaginal muscles than going for costly and often risky vaginal surgery.
